The frogs didn't wait a week to evacuate the Nile, God supernaturally created them. A lot of them. Pharaoh could wait out that last plague, so this one came to him. God offering to pick the time was yet another demonstration of His power. Pharaoh picking the next day eliminated the possibility that Moses had seen a naturalistic end and simply come to announce it.
Connect the Dots
Pharaoh isn't unique in human history, God has comdemned others for their choices without instantly killing them, like in JOS 11:20 and 1SA 2:25.
